Adairsville Welcome Center

Nestled in the foothills of the Appalachian Mountains, Adairsville, Georgia is a picturesque small town of days gone by.  Founded in 1847 and incorporated in 1854, Adairsville has stood witness to many of Georgia’s most important historical events.  Adairsville was in the center of the Great Locomotive Chase of Civil War fame as well as General Sherman’s march to Atlanta.  She prospered during the Industrial Age and held fast during the Great Depression.  Peacock Alley winds through the heart of town where once colorful chenille spreads lined the roadside.  The first town in Georgia to have her entire business district placed on the National Registry of Historic Places, Adairsville still maintains her charm of yesteryear.
